Here is the pitch. It is free to enter. There are cash prizes in eligible regions, funded by us. The only catch is you'll need to beat your mates.
Here is how your last league went. Someone started it in August. Twelve people joined. By October, four had stopped picking a team. By November, one person was still posting memes into a group chat that had gone quiet three weeks ago. That person was you.
We built Bantasy for people who keep trying anyway, and who would quite like some cash for the effort.
The prizes, up front, because you were going to scroll to them anyway
The Premier League season-long fantasy comp and the season-long tipping comp each carry a A$1,000 prize, and both are free to enter. There are one-shot comps with A$50 prizes, and Members leagues with A$300 and A$400 prizes for people on Membership, where entry is still free. Check the live comps for what is on today.

Nobody trusts a free thing, so here is exactly how the money works.
- We fund every prize from our own resources, and we publish it before you enter.
- It is never a cut of entries. There is no pool. Nobody puts money in, so nobody gets to be a wanker about having put money in.
- Skill decides who wins. Predictions, strategy and head-to-head play, never a random draw.
- Winners are paid in cash by bank transfer, after we check your identity, age and location.
- Cash prizes are for players aged 18 or over in eligible regions. In some places you play for glory only. Glory is cheaper. We admit it is also less useful.
The small print is not small, because it matters: read how prizes work and who can play before you get your hopes up.
Prefer to beat people you actually know? A member on a plan can sponsor a private league. Their mates join free, play free and can win, with the prize set from a published table, never a share of anyone's fees. People on a creator tier membership can also make a little cash for organising their own league.
Already in an FPL league? Bring it with you
This one is for the person who runs the FPL mini-league that three people still check. You do not have to start over, and you do not have to leave. Keep playing FPL exactly as you do now. Nothing about your team or your league changes there.
Paste your league's standings link, or just its ID number, into Bantasy and the table comes across: team names and points, updated every gameweek. It takes about 30 seconds, account included. Your mates claim their team from your link, and they see team names, never emails.
Here is what you get for 30 seconds of effort.
- BanterBot. It roasts your league's table after every gameweek, ready to drop in the group chat. It will not be kind to whoever is last. It will not be kind to you either.
- Room for the whole group chat. Up to 20 managers come across on a free account, and up to 100 on Membership.
- A prize on your league. Host it on Membership and Bantasy can put a prize on it each month, from A$20 to A$100, where cash prizes are offered. Your mates play free and can win it. The first month is on us, where the prize rules allow.
Where is the ID? On the FPL site, open your mini-league's standings. The number after /leagues/ in the address is the ID. FPL keeps invite links and codes private, so those will not work here. The standings address will. Bring your league across.

The tour, so you know what you are signing up for
Prizes are why you came. These are the reasons you will stay, or at least the reasons you will pretend you are not checking the ladder at 2am.
Bantasy is fantasy sports with your mates. Competitions, head-to-head challenges, a gameweek tipping ladder and a lineup builder, all in one app, with the group chat built in. Football leads, with footy and league next. It runs in your browser, on iPhone and on Android. We are a small team with a big trophy graphic and a dream.
Competitions: finish a season for once
Run a comp your mates will actually finish. Season-long, weekly or head-to-head. Pick the format, share a join code, and watch the ladder shake out live with your name on it, wherever it lands.

Challenges: pick a mate and ruin their week
Challenge anyone in your group head-to-head over a round, a match or a season. Play for bragging rights, or set an entry in Bantasy Bucks, our free in-app currency. It has no cash value, so the worst thing you can lose is your pride. Bantasy scores it the second the round closes, and your challenge history keeps every result on file, so "I don't remember that" will not work. Yes you do.
Tipping: because you will forget
Submit your tips before lock time. Lock times follow kick-off and you get a reminder the moment a fixture opens if a pick is still pending.

Teams, formations and chips
Formation rules are built in, so illegal lineups are impossible. Your captain choices remain legal and, historically, unhinged. Default lineups cover the weeks you are flat out, and the Free Hit chip gives you unlimited transfers for one gameweek. Save it for the round that decides the season, or the round you finally admit the season is over.

Bantasy Daily: a free puzzle for your commute
Guess the Premier League player. You get one clue to start, another for every miss, and six goes. Everyone gets the same puzzle, a new one lands every midnight, and you share your result as emoji squares without giving the answer away. Bantasy Daily is free and needs no account. It costs nothing, which is more than we can say for your dignity.
Cosmetics, because drip is part of the game
Earn pitch skins, badges and avatar variants as you play, or pick them up in the shop with Bantasy Bucks. Your team will still be bad. It will just be bad with a hat on.
Why it beats the old way
| The old way | Bantasy |
|---|---|
| Four apps and a group chat | One app, with the group chat built in |
| One person runs the spreadsheet and collects the entry money, and nobody asks where it went | Prizes are funded by Bantasy and published before you enter, never a cut of entries |
| Fantasy in one place, tipping in another | Both, plus head-to-head challenges, on one account |
| Moving your league means starting over | Paste your FPL standings link and the table comes across. FPL stays untouched |
| Someone posts the deadline in the group chat. Nobody reads it | Lock times follow kick-off, and reminders find you |
| Admin falls to whoever cares most, until they quit in October | Join codes, live ladders and results settled automatically |
| Leagues are as big as the group chat you can tolerate | Free private leagues up to 20 members, Membership leagues up to 100 |
What it costs
Playing is free. That covers public comps, gameweek tipping, private leagues with up to 20 mates, free Bantasy Bucks (you start with 500) and the full skill game. No card needed.
Membership is A$6.99 a month, or A$29 for the season, with local prices on the pricing page. It adds every Members comp, analytics on ownership, captaincy and form, Coach picks, leagues up to 100 members and the ability to sponsor a prize league. A plan buys software and the prize leagues you host. It never buys a result.
Is it a game of skill?
Yes. Predictions, strategy and head-to-head play decide every winner, never chance. There are no random draws and no luck mechanics. A lucky streak will not save you, and neither will we. Here is the full explanation.
Ready to lose to your friends?
Create a free account, jump into a comp with a prize on it, and post a join code in the group chat for the people you most want to beat. The first week is the best week. After that it is mostly sledging and checking the ladder in the toilet. Start a league and see who cracks first.
Cash prizes are available to eligible players aged 18 or over in supported regions, and some regions are glory-only. Bantasy is a game of skill. No purchase necessary to play. Eligibility varies by location.
