Fair question, and the answer is short: we do. Bantasy is a game of skill, and the prizes are ours to put up.

Free to play, and no card to sign up. Invited to a mate's league? You join free and can win it. Membership includes Members competitions, bigger leagues and better tools; it is never an entry fee.
Bantasy funds the prizes
We put the prize up ourselves: a cash prize we fund and publish before anyone plays. Some rise as more people join. It is our money on the line, not yours.
You never stake anything
Your entry does not go into a pot, and neither does anyone else's. There is nothing to lose.
